Chris Gannon Polo
Bio:
Acknowledged as one of American polo’s
rising stars, this 21-year-old New Orleans native has already reached heights that most polo players only
dream of. In 2004, he was selected as a member of the U.S. national team that competed at the F.I.P. World
Championships in Paris. In 2001, he played for the Outback Polo team that reached the finals of U.S.P.A.
Gold Cup and along with Outback Polo teammates Adolfo Cambiaso, Fabio Diniz, and Santiago Chavanne
rode to victory in the U.S. Open at Palm Beach Polo. Only 17 at the time, Chris became one of the youngest
winners in Open history.
The son of Tim Gannon, co-founder of Outback
Steakhouse and sponsor of the five-time U.S. Open champion Outback Polo Team, Chris carries a 2-goal
handicap and has played competitively in Greenwich, Santa Barbara, Santa Fe, Buenos Aries, and Sotogrande,
Spain. He lives in Tampa, Florida.
